Product Overview
FPS Camera is a high-speed Android video capture app built for users who need precise motion recording and frame-level reliability. It combines 120 / 240 FPS recording, manual ISO and shutter control, HEVC-based encoding, and AI-powered temporal error detection to help users both capture and validate video quality.
This product is ideal for sports analysis, content creation, surveillance testing, research workflows, and video quality verification where frame drops, frame merges, and unstable timing can affect results.

What the App Does
FPS Camera helps users record fast-moving scenes with better control than a normal mobile camera app. After recording, the connected temporal error detection system can analyze the video for frame drops, timestamp irregularities, and merged-frame behavior — then generate a CSV report for review.
Main Features
Why It Matters
Modern smartphone videos can look smooth while hiding serious recording issues — dropped frames, merged frames, or inconsistent FPS timing. FPS Camera is built to improve both capture quality and post-capture verification, making it useful for technical users who need dependable video data instead of only visually good footage.
Software Requirements
| Operating System | Android 11 or above recommended. Better results on recent flagship or upper-midrange devices. |
| Processor | Snapdragon 8-series, Tensor flagship, Dimensity flagship, or equivalent recommended for stable high-bitrate high-FPS recording. |
| RAM | Minimum 6 GB; 8 GB or more recommended for smoother performance during recording and processing. |
| Storage | At least 5 GB free space recommended — high-FPS video files are large. |
| Video Codec | HEVC / H.265 encoding support recommended for efficient storage and playback. |
| Internet | Required for the web-based temporal error detection tool hosted online. |
| Browser | Latest Chrome, Edge, or Firefox recommended for the Gradio-based web tool. |
Hardware Requirements
| Camera | Rear camera of 50 MP or above preferred. Megapixel count alone does not guarantee 120/240 FPS support. |
| Frame Rate | Support for 1080p at 240fps or at minimum 1080p at 120fps is strongly recommended. |
| Thermal / Storage | Good thermal control and fast internal storage improve stable recording during long sessions. |
Recommended Devices
FPS Camera works best on Android phones that support Camera2 API advanced controls and native high-speed video modes. For the best results, we recommend phones with 50 MP or higher primary cameras, flagship-class chipsets, and support for 1080p 120fps or 1080p 240fps recording.
